What is a chiropractor?

A chiropractor works with the nerve system to help your body heal. Chiropractors focus on restoring vitality and the function of your body by taking pressure off your nerve system.

Is a chiropractor a doctor?

Yes, we have a Doctorate in Chiropractic.

What type of education and training do chiropractors have?

Chiropractic education requires at least 4 years of professional study and includes a 4-year undergraduate/college prerequisite in most states. (spine-health.com)

What does a chiropractor treat?

A Doctor of Chiropractic is trained to take pressure off the nerve system to help the body heal from the inside out. As the body heals from the inside out, often this allows the symptoms to go away.

What are common chiropractic techniques?

There are over 300 Chiropractic techniques. Regardless of which one you choose, there are two basic schools of thought within the Chiropractic community. The first one is to treat the symptoms naturally. The second is to take pressure off the nerve system and let the body heal itself, and oftentimes the symptoms will go away.

To some degree it's the practitioner that you want to choose, not the technique. If you are looking for a practitioner that understands taking pressure off the nerve system and allows the body to heal, then you've come to the right place because I am that practitioner.

What is a Chiropractic spinal adjustment?

A Chiropractic spinal adjustment is a procedure in which the chiropractor uses their hands or a small instrument to improve spinal motion and improve your body's function and health.

Why do some adjustments make a popping noise?

The noises you may hear while being adjusted are joints releasing little pockets of air. A chiropractic adjustment does not affect the bones on either side of a joint. It affects the connective tissue that holds the joint together.

How many sessions will I need?

I can't tell you how many adjustments you need. I can tell you I never give you more care than what you are looking for. I'll give you enough information so you can choose what you are looking for. If you are looking for symptom relief, I will adjust you until your symptoms go away. If you are looking to help your body heal, there are more adjustments needed. If you are looking to correct the underlying problem, then that takes longer. When you come into my office, I will give you the information so you can make your own decision but ultimately the choice is yours.

Is chiropractic treatment appropriate for children?

Yes! We have been taught in this country to wait until symptoms appear. The truth is symptoms are one of the last things to come. There are often no symptoms even after there is a problem in your body. The best time to get checked is as soon after the birth process as possible. The birth process can be one of the most traumatic events we go through. It often causes pressure on the brain stem that can lead to problems later in life. Getting checked soon after birth gives the newborn a chance to start life right with no pressure on the nerve system. That is what I call true prevention.

Why should you come to see me as your chiropractor?

I provide hope. Not only do I provide hope, I have a way of adjusting that permanently corrects your body. The positive side effect is you feel better.

Everyone that comes to me wants to feel better. That is the least of what I do. I attract people that not only want to feel better, but want to have a better life.

With Advanced Biostructural Correction, I know how to read the body, I know how to correct the body, and your body knows how to heal.
